  Great food, but terrible service. Our waiter really hated his job and the cooks don't know ingredients in their sausages at all. After I was assured the ingredient I am allergic to was not in my food, I got am allergic reaction. Never even got an apology or was offered something else instead. I ended up switching food with another person at my table for something I could actually eat. Waiter acted like he could care less, even after I mentioned it twice. In addition we had dirty salad plates left from 1st course and dessert on our table at the same time and had to ask for iced tea refills multiple times over. Nobody seem to care about our experience here. I was very dissapointed that food allergy were not take seriously and that service was so poor. It was disappointing.

  If you've never had German fare or had the basics then it's worth a shot to stop by Edelweiss. Decently priced, two can dine with alcoholic drinks and dessert for less than $100. If you're confused by the menu feel free to ask the friendly staff. Or do what I did and get sampler plates for a bit of everything. Quaint environment with interesting decor. Don't be scared by the less-than-stellar neighborhood around the restaurant, your car will be fine.
