  Melanie Douglas is a former deputy district attorney in El Paso County. While at that office, she tried to prosecute innocent people, either because she didn't understand the case she was bringing, or because she did not care whether she was right or wrong. She also exhibited a tendancy to to resort to dirty tricks - for example, making spurious allegations against defense counsel and causing her own office to launch investigations against them - in an effort to force defendants to plea bargain. I have to advise against having anything to do with this attorney.
