I've been seeing Dr. Kilimann for about five years. I was thrown his way because he was the only person my insurance would cover who treated teenagers. I've never particularly liked him. He discounts my opinions and feelings on my treatment, is consistently late to appointments, and puts zero priority on his patients.

He has prescribed medications incorrectly, like prescribing an anti-epilepsy drug for bipolar and prescribing nightly Xanax for insomnia. Xanax isn't normally supposed to be taken daily- it's an as-needed drug. I brought this up with him once and he told me that if I didn't like it, I should just quit cold-turkey. I tried, I failed, and I told him that I would need to be weaned off it, or just stay on it until I was ready to try again. He responded by doubling my dose, and I've needed it to function every night since.

That's part of why I finally came to write a review. I met with him for a six-month appointment to have my scripts renewed, and he neglected to put any refills for the Xanax. I ran out, went through withdrawal symptoms, and had to call his office seventeen times for the receptionist to even pick up and talk to me. Dr. Kilimann wasn't at the office (big surprise there, he's almost never around), so the on-call doctor had to write an emergency two-week supply. Those two weeks are almost over, and, as Dr. Kilimann still has not corrected his mistake, my pharmacy and I are fighting with the office once again to get the doctor to do his job.

The secretary whom I have communicated with throughout this is snarky and rude. She has hung up on me more than once, speaks in a very condescending manner, and acts as though I'm asking her to move a mountain when I just need her to pass a message along to my doctor.

Honestly, I could bring back dozens of examples of times when this office and doctor have screwed up. Take-home message is not to make this quack your doctor.
